We are seeking a skilled and passionate Sailmaker to join our vibrant team in Denia, Alicante. This role involves a wide range of sailmaking tasks, primarily focusing on repairs, maintenance, and custom fabrication for yachts and boats docked in the local marinas. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in sail repair, be proficient with industrial sewing machines, and possess a strong understanding of sailcloth materials and hardware. You will work closely with clients, providing expert advice and ensuring the highest quality of service. Responsabilidades Clave

• Perform detailed sail repairs, including tears, re-stitching, patch application, and hardware replacement.
• Conduct thorough inspections of sails on board vessels and provide recommendations for maintenance or repair.
• Execute custom sail modifications, adjustments, and alterations to meet client specifications.
• Fabricate various marine canvas products, such as boat covers, awnings, and biminis, as required.
• Measure and template for new sails and canvas projects, ensuring precision and accuracy.
• Operate and maintain industrial sewing machines and other sailmaking equipment.
• Liaise directly with clients to understand their needs, provide technical advice, and ensure satisfaction.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment within the sail loft.
• Assist with rigging checks and minor rigging repairs when needed.

Habilidades Requeridas

• Proven experience as a Sailmaker or Marine Canvas Fabricator.
• Proficiency in operating industrial sewing machines.
• Strong knowledge of sailcloth types, marine hardware, and sail construction techniques.
• Ability to diagnose and repair various sail damages effectively.
• Excellent manual dexterity and meticulous attention to detail.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills for client interaction.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical capability to handle large and heavy sails.

Cualificaciones Preferidas

• Formal training or certification in sailmaking or marine textiles.
• Experience with yacht rigging or marine engineering.
• Fluent in both Spanish and English.
• Valid boat driving license (Patrón de Navegación Básica or higher).
• Customer service experience in a marine environment.
• Familiarity with CAD software for sail design (advantageous).
