As the Chief Operating Officer (COO) – Operations Executive at Telefónica, you will be a pivotal leader in shaping and executing our operational strategy. You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day administrative and operational functions of the company, ensuring efficiency, productivity, and the delivery of high-quality services. This role demands a visionary leader with a proven track record in managing complex operations, driving strategic initiatives, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence across a large, dynamic organization.

Responsabilidades Clave

  • Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with the company’s overall business objectives and growth plans.
  • Oversee all daily operations and administrative functions, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Drive performance management through effective goal setting, monitoring, and reporting mechanisms across all operational departments.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing operations team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation.
  • Optimize existing operational processes and workflows, identifying areas for improvement and implementing best practices to enhance productivity and service quality.
  • Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including internal departments, vendors, and partners, to ensure seamless operational execution.
  • Identify and mitigate operational risks, developing contingency plans to ensure business continuity.
  • Collaborate with the CEO and other executives to define the company’s strategic direction and long-term vision.

Habilidades Requeridas

  • Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in senior operational leadership roles within the telecommunications or a related high-tech industry.
  • Demonstrated success in managing large-scale, complex operations and driving significant organizational change.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on achieving tangible results.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience with P&L management, budget control, and resource allocation.
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop diverse, high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing at all levels.
  • Deep understanding of digital transformation trends and their impact on operational models.

Cualificaciones Preferidas

  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) or an advanced degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience in an international operational environment, managing multi-country teams and operations.
  • Certifications in Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
  • Fluency in Spanish and English.
