We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Art Dealer to join our Madrid team, specifically to cultivate and serve our English-speaking expat clientele. This role requires a sophisticated understanding of the art market, exceptional sales acumen, and a passion for connecting discerning collectors with significant artworks. You will be instrumental in expanding our reach within the international community in Madrid, building lasting relationships, and ensuring a seamless, enriching client experience.
Responsabilidades Clave
- Develop and nurture relationships with English-speaking expat collectors in Madrid and beyond.
- Proactively identify potential clients through networking events, art fairs, and targeted outreach.
- Present and sell artworks from our diverse collection, demonstrating deep knowledge of artists, provenance, and market value.
- Provide expert advice and guidance to clients on art acquisition, investment, and collection management.
- Manage the entire sales cycle, from initial contact and consultation to negotiation and post-sale follow-up.
- Organize and host private viewings, artist talks, and exclusive events for expat clients.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the international art market, trends, and competitor activities.
- Collaborate with the gallery team on exhibition planning, marketing strategies, and client services.
Habilidades Requeridas
- Proven sales record in the fine art industry, ideally with high-net-worth clients.
- Fluent in English, with excellent communication and presentation skills. Spanish proficiency is a plus.
- Deep knowledge of modern and contemporary art history and the art market.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with diverse clients.
- Strong negotiation and closing skills.
- Professional demeanor and presentation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Cualificaciones Preferidas
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Art History, Fine Arts, Art Business, or a related field.
- Previous experience working with international or expat clientele.
- Existing network within the English-speaking expat community in Madrid.
- Proficiency in CRM software and gallery management systems.
