We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our site maintenance team in Jerez de la Frontera. The successful candidate will be responsible for the inspection, diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of a wide range of Caterpillar heavy machinery, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime. This role requires a hands-on approach, strong problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to safety and efficiency in all operations.

Responsabilidades Clave

• Perform routine preventative maintenance on heavy construction equipment, including excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and graders.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues using specialized diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Conduct major and minor repairs, including engine overhauls, transmission repairs, and hydraulic system replacements.
• Order and manage parts inventory necessary for repairs and maintenance tasks.
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation of all work performed.
• Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and company policies while working on-site or in the workshop.
• Communicate effectively with site managers, operators, and other team members regarding equipment status and repair timelines.
• Provide technical support and guidance to equipment operators as needed.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with new equipment technologies and repair techniques.

Habilidades Requeridas

• Proven experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, preferably with Caterpillar machinery.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and powertrains.
• Proficiency in reading schematics and technical manuals.
• Ability to operate diagnostic tools and software.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Physical ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

Cualificaciones Preferidas

• Vocational degree or certification in Heavy Equipment Mechanics or a related field.
• Experience with welding and fabrication.
