Descripción del Trabajo
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Chef de Partie / Line Cook to join our dynamic International Kitchen Team at Mandarin Oriental Barcelona. As a key member of our culinary brigade, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes, managing a specific section of the kitchen, and ensuring consistent excellence in food production. This role requires a creative culinary professional with a passion for international cuisine, strong organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, luxury hotel environment. You will work under the guidance of our Head Chef and Sous Chefs to maintain our high standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene.
Responsabilidades Clave
- Execute and oversee the preparation and cooking of dishes for a designated section (e.g., Sauté, Grill, Garde Manger, Pastry) in accordance with hotel standards and recipes.
- Ensure all food items are prepared to the highest quality, taste, and presentation standards.
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas and equipment.
- Manage inventory for your station, including ordering, receiving, and proper storage of ingredients.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff and commis chefs, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations (HACCP) at all times.
- Collaborate with the Sous Chefs and Head Chef on menu development and special projects.
- Assist with daily mise en place and ensure all ingredients are fresh and properly stored.
Habilidades Requeridas
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Chef de Partie or Line Cook in a reputable hotel or fine dining restaurant.
- Proven experience with international cuisine.
- Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations (HACCP).
- Excellent culinary skills, including knife handling, cooking techniques, and presentation.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a high-volume kitchen.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of Spanish or Catalan is a plus.

- Knowledge of diverse dietary requirements and allergens.
- Ability to speak Spanish or Catalan.
