We are seeking a dedicated and physically capable Barley Farm Assistant for a seasonal role at our farm in Oliva, Valencia. This position is perfect for individuals who enjoy working outdoors and contributing to the vital agricultural sector. As a Barley Farm Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting various stages of barley cultivation, from planting to harvesting, ensuring the healthy growth and successful yield of our crops. This is a hands-on role requiring attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsabilidades Clave

• Assist with soil preparation, including plowing, tilling, and fertilizing.
• Participate in the planting of barley seeds using farm machinery or manual methods.
• Monitor crop health, identifying and reporting any signs of disease, pests, or nutrient deficiencies.
• Assist with irrigation tasks, ensuring adequate water supply to the crops.
• Operate and maintain various farm equipment and machinery under supervision.
• Perform general farm maintenance, including fence repair, weed control, and field clean-up.
• Support harvesting operations, including gathering, loading, and transporting barley.
• Adhere strictly to all farm safety protocols and operational guidelines.
• Work collaboratively with other farm staff to achieve daily and seasonal objectives.

• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions (heat, cold, rain).
• Basic understanding of agricultural principles or a strong desire to learn.
