We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Farm Hand / Animal Caretaker to join our team at Finca El Soler. This is a unique opportunity for an individual passionate about agriculture and animal welfare to live and work on a traditional Catalan farm. The role involves general farm maintenance and direct care for various farm animals. We offer comfortable room and board as part of the compensation package, providing an immersive experience in rural Spanish life.

Responsabilidades Clave

• Feeding, watering, and monitoring the health and well-being of farm animals (e.g., cattle, sheep, poultry).
• Cleaning and maintaining animal enclosures, barns, and stables.
• Assisting with milking, shearing, or other animal husbandry tasks as required.
• Performing general farm duties, including planting, harvesting, and field maintenance.
• Operating and maintaining farm machinery and equipment safely.
• Repairing fences, irrigation systems, and other farm infrastructure.
• Assisting with the loading and unloading of supplies and produce.
• Following all safety protocols and animal welfare guidelines.
• Reporting any unusual animal behavior or maintenance issues to the farm manager.
• Contributing to a positive and cooperative team environment.

• Strong work ethic and reliability.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for long periods.
• Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
• Basic understanding of animal care principles or a strong desire to learn.
• Positive attitude and a genuine interest in farming and animal welfare.

Cualificaciones Preferidas

• Previous experience working on a farm or with livestock.
• Experience operating tractors or other farm machinery.
• Basic knowledge of Spanish or Catalan language.
• Valid driver's license.
