Are you passionate about video games and possess a keen eye for detail across multiple languages? PlayStation Studios España is seeking a dedicated Localization QA Tester to join our dynamic team in Chueca, Madrid. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the linguistic quality and cultural appropriateness of our game titles before they reach our international players. You will identify, report, and verify fixes for localization bugs, contributing directly to the immersive experience of millions worldwide.
Responsabilidades Clave
- Perform linguistic and functional testing on game titles across various platforms to identify localization bugs and issues.
- Verify the accuracy, consistency, and cultural relevance of translated in-game text, UI, audio, and subtitles.
- Report bugs clearly and concisely in a bug tracking database, including steps to reproduce, expected results, and actual results.
- Collaborate closely with localization project managers, developers, and other QA testers.
- Follow test plans diligently and contribute to their improvement.
- Provide constructive feedback on localization quality and potential improvements.
- Stay updated on the latest trends and best practices in localization and gaming QA.
Habilidades Requeridas
- Native-level fluency in Spanish AND professional working proficiency in English (both written and spoken).
- Strong understanding of grammar, spelling, and punctuation in both languages.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to spot inconsistencies.
- Passion for video games and familiarity with various gaming genres and platforms.
- Basic computer literacy and ability to learn new software quickly.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Cualificaciones Preferidas
- Previous experience in localization, QA, or linguistic testing.
- Familiarity with bug tracking software (e.g., Jira, TestRail).
- Knowledge of other European languages (e.g., French, German, Italian, Portuguese).
- Understanding of cultural nuances in different markets.
- Experience playing PlayStation games and familiarity with the ecosystem.
