We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Rigging Technician to join our dynamic team in Zaragoza. While based in a major logistics hub, this role involves working with heavy lifting equipment, performing rigging operations, and ensuring the safe and efficient movement of oversized and heavy components, often destined for or originating from port environments. You will be instrumental in executing complex lifts, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and operational procedures. This is an on-site role that may require travel to various project sites across Spain, including port facilities or major industrial sites.

Responsabilidades Clave

• Plan and execute rigging operations, including selecting appropriate rigging gear and methods.
• Inspect, maintain, and ensure the safety of all rigging equipment (slings, shackles, hooks, etc.).
• Direct crane operators and other team members during lifts using standard hand signals and radio communication.
• Read and interpret load charts, blueprints, and engineering drawings to determine proper rigging setups.
• Ensure all lifting operations comply with company safety policies, industry standards, and local regulations.
• Participate in job hazard analysis and pre-task planning meetings.
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on rigging equipment as needed.
• Collaborate effectively with project managers, engineers, and other technicians to achieve project goals.
• Document and report any equipment malfunctions, safety incidents, or procedural deviations.

Habilidades Requeridas

• Proven experience as a Rigging Technician in heavy industrial or logistics environments.
• Strong knowledge of rigging principles, load dynamics, and safe lifting practices.
• Ability to read and interpret complex rigging plans and load charts.
• Proficiency in inspecting and identifying defects in rigging gear.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety and adherence to protocols.
• Physical fitness and ability to work in demanding outdoor and industrial conditions.
• Valid driver's license.

Cualificaciones Preferidas

• Relevant rigging certifications (e.g., LEEA, NCCCO Rigger, or equivalent local certifications).
• Experience with various types of cranes and lifting equipment (e.g., gantry cranes, mobile cranes, strand jacks).
• Forklift and/or aerial work platform certification.
• Basic mechanical aptitude for minor equipment adjustments.
