We are seeking an accomplished and passionate Sommelier to join our international fine dining team. The ideal candidate will possess a profound knowledge of wines, spirits, and pairings, with a particular emphasis on international varieties and regions. You will be responsible for enhancing our guests’ dining experience through expert recommendations, impeccable service, and the meticulous management of our esteemed wine cellar. This role requires a professional who is not only knowledgeable but also an excellent communicator, capable of educating both guests and staff, and upholding the highest standards of luxury hospitality.

Responsabilidades Clave

• Curate, maintain, and continually evolve an extensive and diverse wine list, including selections from renowned international regions.
• Provide expert, personalized wine and beverage recommendations to guests, considering their preferences, menu pairings, and budget.
• Manage all aspects of the wine cellar, including inventory, ordering, rotation, storage conditions, and stock control.
• Conduct regular wine tastings and training sessions for the restaurant and service staff to enhance their knowledge and sales capabilities.
• Ensure impeccable wine service, including proper decanting, pouring, and temperature control, adhering to luxury hospitality standards.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with wine suppliers, distributors, and producers to ensure access to the finest selections.
• Handle guest inquiries and feedback regarding wine and beverages with professionalism and grace.
• Monitor beverage costs and contribute to achieving revenue targets while maintaining high quality.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, new releases, and developments in the global wine market.

Habilidades Requeridas

• Minimum WSET Level 3 Advanced Certificate or equivalent sommelier certification.
• Extensive and demonstrable knowledge of international wine regions, varietals, and vintages.
• Proven experience in a fine dining or luxury hospitality environment.
• Exceptional customer service skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Fluent in English and Spanish, both written and verbal.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Proficiency in inventory management and POS systems related to beverage service.
