We are seeking a talented and meticulous Subtitler / Captioner to join our media production team in Gava. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating high-quality subtitles and captions for a diverse range of audiovisual content, including films, television series, documentaries, and corporate videos. This role requires exceptional linguistic skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of subtitling software and guidelines. You will play a crucial part in making our content accessible to a broader audience and ensuring a premium viewing experience.

Responsabilidades Clave

• Transcribe audio and create accurate, synchronized subtitles and captions for various media formats.
• Ensure linguistic accuracy, cultural appropriateness, and adherence to specific client style guides and industry standards.
• Edit, review, and proofread existing subtitles/captions for grammatical errors, spelling mistakes, and timing issues.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting strict deadlines and maintaining high quality.
• Collaborate with project managers, editors, and other team members to ensure seamless workflow and consistent quality.
• Utilize professional subtitling software and tools effectively.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive content and project information.

Habilidades Requeridas

• Native-level proficiency in Spanish and excellent command of English (written and spoken).
• Proven experience with subtitling software (e.g., EZTitles, Subtitle Edit, Ooona Tools).
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in transcription and translation.
• Strong understanding of subtitling conventions, timing, and reading speed guidelines.
• Excellent grammar, spelling, and punctuation skills in both Spanish and English.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.

Cualificaciones Preferidas

• Bachelor's degree in Translation, Linguistics, Communication, or a related field.
• Previous experience as a subtitler or captioner in a professional media environment.
• Familiarity with various media file formats and encoding processes.
• Proficiency in additional languages (e.g., Catalan, French, German).
• Experience with accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) for captioning.
