We are seeking highly skilled and experienced Freelance Translators to join our global team. This remote position focuses on translating content from Spanish to English across various domains, including marketing, legal, technical, medical, and more. The ideal candidate will possess native-level fluency in English, exceptional Spanish comprehension, and a deep understanding of cultural nuances to deliver accurate and contextually appropriate translations. As a freelance translator, you will manage your workload, meet deadlines, and contribute to TransPerfect’s reputation for excellence.

Responsabilidades Clave

• Translate a variety of content from Spanish to English with precision, accuracy, and cultural appropriateness.
• Ensure all translations maintain the original meaning, tone, and style of the source material.
• Utilize CAT tools (e.g., Trados, memoQ) and translation memory to ensure consistency and efficiency.
• Conduct thorough self-review and quality assurance checks on all completed translations.
• Adhere to project-specific guidelines, glossaries, and style guides.
• Manage multiple translation projects simultaneously and meet strict deadlines.
• Communicate effectively with project managers regarding project status and any potential issues.
• Maintain confidentiality of all client information and project materials.

Habilidades Requeridas

• Native-level fluency in English (target language)
• Exceptional comprehension and advanced fluency in Spanish (source language)
• Minimum of 2 years of professional translation experience from Spanish to English
• Proficiency in at least one major CAT tool (e.g., SDL Trados Studio, memoQ, Memsource)
• Strong research skills and ability to adapt to new subject matters quickly
• Excellent written communication skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

Cualificaciones Preferidas

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field
• Certification from a recognized translation association (e.g., ATA, ITI)
• Specialization in specific industries such as legal, medical, technical, or marketing
• Experience with machine translation post-editing (MTPE)
• Familiarity with various style guides and terminology management principles
