We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Freelance Translator to join our global network of language professionals. This is a 100% remote contract position, offering you the flexibility to work from anywhere while contributing to impactful projects. As a Spanish to English translator, you will be responsible for accurately and culturally appropriately translating a variety of content types, ensuring high quality and timely delivery for our diverse client base. We are looking for a linguist with a strong command of both source and target languages, keen attention to detail, and a passion for bridging communication gaps.

Responsabilidades Clave

• Translate a wide range of content from Spanish to English, maintaining linguistic accuracy, cultural relevance, and appropriate tone.
• Review and proofread translations to ensure grammatical correctness, stylistic consistency, and adherence to client-specific guidelines.
• Utilize CAT tools (e.g., Trados, MemoQ) and other translation memory software efficiently.
• Manage project deadlines effectively and communicate proactively regarding progress or potential delays.
• Collaborate with project managers and quality assurance teams to ensure client satisfaction.
• Continuously enhance linguistic skills and knowledge of specialized terminology.

Habilidades Requeridas

• Native-level proficiency in English (US or UK, specified by project).
• Exceptional fluency in Spanish (Latin American or Castilian, specified by project).
• Proven experience as a professional translator, preferably with a portfolio of work.
• Strong understanding of cultural nuances between Spanish-speaking regions and English-speaking audiences.
• Proficiency in industry-standard CAT tools (e.g., Trados Studio, MemoQ, Memsource).
• Excellent research skills for terminology and subject matter.
• Ability to maintain high quality and accuracy under tight deadlines.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Cualificaciones Preferidas

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field.
• Certification from a recognized translation association (e.g., ATA, ITI, ASETRAD).
• Specialization in specific domains such as marketing, legal, technical, medical, or IT.
• Experience with machine translation post-editing (MTPE).
• Familiarity with style guides and glossaries.
